Ah, NYC - Fashion Week

Ok, ok...I know it was last week, but it's been an incredibly busy few weeks for Global Goddess Beauty! We have new things swinging and will soon be seeing our products on more store shelves by the end of the year which is very exciting!!
In addition to visiting various fashion shows and the Fashion's Night Out events, I was able to catch up with all of my NYC friends (and many other friends who few in for the week's events!)

One old friend I was able to catch up with, Emmanuelle Chriqui from HBO's Entourage, who told me she loves our lip glosses which she's been wearing since I started doing her makeup. I know all of her secrets of how she stays so gorgeous. Want to get her look? Follow these steps below:

Start by applying a smoothing primer all over your face and follow by dabbing concealer on any blemishes. Then smooth on a foundation that matches your skin tone to even out your complexion.

Highlight areas that are touched by the sun with a glowing bronzer (try our Goddess Glow South Pacific Shimmer) on your cheeks, forehead and the bridge of your nose.

For Emmanuelle's stunning look, it's all about the eyes so play them up with shimmering browns. Apply a light shadow over your entire lid and then accentuate the crease and outer corners with a darker shade.
Next, using a creamy black eyeliner, line both your lower and upper lash lines, making sure you line the top just a bit thicker than the bottom. Then, for added va-va-va-voom, go over the liner on the top with a liquid liner (try our Cairo Eyes Liquid Kohl Liner). Finish with two coats of our Exotic Eyes Blackest Black Mascara for eyes that sparkle and shine!

And don't forget Emanuelle's favorite...plump up your lips with our Lip Veils - Casbah is the perfect pinky gold shade for a super glam look!

Wondering how to get the perfect "crease"? Or why your eyeshadow never looks as blended as the pictures? Try using the right tools. By using the correct brush for your application needs, you'll notice the brush will do the work for you.

Without the perfect brush, made from the right hairs at the right thickness, your makeup can look like a 4 year old applied it - and let's be honest, sometimes that's best - but when you want to apply a perfect face of makeup on your own, turn to the best tools and your look will be gorgeous every time!

For the perfect application, try our Jet Setter Mini Tool Case for tools that can turn you into a glamourous beauty every day! (And it's perfect for travel too!)

Here are some of Shalini's tips on how to choose the right brush:
  • Softer hairs will apply the makeup more lightly and sheer.
  • Thicker, stiffer bristles will give you a more dramatic look.
  • Fuller brushes will give you a softer less defined look.
  • Contoured brushes will give your features more definition.

Had a seriously long night lately? We, along with fashionistas everywhere, will be jonesing for some beauty sleep in a few weeks when Mercedes Benz Fashion Week in NYC takes over all of our lives!

Covering a party girl's long night out is nothing new to us. One of the easiest ways to repair a beauty hangover is with primer and a bit of concealer. Apply a light, silky primer all over your skin - our Global Goddess Upgrade Complexion Face Primer has skin brightening licorice to lighten your face. Primer will also hold your make-up longer throughout the day.

Then, using a yellow-based concealer, apply around the
eye area and on the lid of the eye with a concealer brush. Blend lightly with your fingertips. Our Complexion Perfection Duo is a fresh face foundation & matching concealer.
Shalini's Beauty Tip: For extra flawless coverage, blend the Geisha Goddess Tinted Face Duo with the Complexion Perfection Foundation.

Finish with a couple coats of black mascara and pink gloss & no one will know how hard you partied the night before!
