 Slumdog Millionaire celebrated their 8 Oscar wins, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Song, Best Score and Best Adapted Screenplay, this past Sunday following the 81st Annual Academy Awards in true style - at the official FOX Searchlight Oscar party hosted by PHENOMENON! Global Goddess was there throughout all of the Oscar fun to help make the beautiful more beautiful with fabulous gift bags and our beautiful display at the party!  PHENOMENON hosted an amazing evening and all of the stars came out to play, including the cast and crew of the most talked about film of the year, Slumdog Millionaire. Global Goddess' founder, Shalini Vadhera, caught up with Danny Boyle, Dev Patel, Freida Pinto and Anil Kapoor as they celebrated their wins with true joy! The excitement was felt throughout the evening from the moment Slumdog Millionaire won their first Oscar to the very end of the party - there is a genuine comraderie and happiness felt as celebs danced and celebrated the night away. Global Goddess is honored to have been involved as a part of this magical evening.  This whole week has been a complete whirlwind - from being involved in the Oscars Suite at the Beverly Hills Hilton to the Slumdog Millionaire after party. We had an amazing time making the beautiful people even more beautiful with Global Goddess as celebs relaxed in the luxury lounge checking out all the swag that was available to them and more!This week will see us recapping the events of the weekend and sharing with you all our favorite photos and stories! It's always great to connect with old friends and make new friends at events and we were able to do just that! In between sharing Global Goddess with new friends and further beautifying the already beautiful, Global Goddess was able to catch up with David Norona from Lipstick Jungle and his gorgeous wife Lisa who was wearing our Exotic Eyes mascara and South Pacific Shimmer which she picked up at the Emmy's Suite last year! We were also able to introduce Global Goddess Beauty to a new friend who sent us this amazing message today: "Hi! We met on Saturday afternoon at the Oscar gift suite at the Beverly Hills Hilton. I'm Tracie Thoms from the CBS show "Cold Case"... I'm African-American with long twists in my hair, just to refresh your memory :-) Well, I have to tell you, you did my eyes very quickly at the event, and the response I got from everyone I encountered was that I looked absolutely stunning -- often from men on the street! So, thanks for that! So nice to be told I'm beautiful several times in the parking lot at Vons Supermarket! I also wanted to know how I could get my hands on that amazing eyeliner you used!  SMOKY EYES ON THE RUNWAYFashion Week 2009 has come at a rough time for most of us - with the economy in a slump, it wasn't clear where the designers would go this year. So far we have seen a lot of neutrals and classic pieces that fashionistas will covet for a lifetime! It's all about neutrals - gray, black, & navy with a few stand out pieces that the most serious fashionista wouldn't be able to say no to. Michael Kors perfected the neutrals going with a largely black palette with just a punch of hot pink, bright orange & lime. Models sashayed down the runway looking stunning in classically designed pieces that buyers will keep in their closets forever! Kors did it right with pencil skirts slit to the top of the leg to beautiful coats that will be the perfect topper for fall looks. The best, though is Kors' strapless dress which he does in black leather and that stand out hot pink! The look was completed with a classic dark smoky eye that works for anyone! To get this sexy, smoky look, keep your face and lips simple and neutral and follow the steps below: Using a neutral eyeshadow, sweep the color all over your lids. Next, line your upper and lower lash lines with the Global Goddess i-Define Eyeliner in India Ink. Don't worry about perfection here as you will have time to fix it later. With a dark grey or metal eyeshadow, apply color starting at your lash line and blend up to the crease making sure to blend the dark color into the eyeliner so they become one. Apply this dark color at your lower lash line too, also blending with the eyeliner.
